While there are various plug-in hybrid and fully electric models already available within the BMW lineup, the automaker projects that electric alternatives will account for as much as 15 to 25 percent of sales by the year 2025. Naturally, the correct response to such an analysis would thus be to provide an adequate supply for that demand. It is for this reason that the company plans to release even more electric cars in the future. Some anticipated vehicles include the BMW i8 Roadster, BMW X3, and BMW i NEXT. If all goes according to plan, they are set for release in 2018, 2020, and 2021, respectively.

Put simply, this news means there will soon be more modernized BMW models from which drivers in Wilmington, North Carolina, to see! Excited? Our team at BMW of Wilmington is too.
