Construction Update 5/13/2020

A busy week on site means lots of progress! Curtainwall install began on the Sales building bringing us one step closer to building dry in. EIFS application continued as the DEFS application and exposed steel painting kicked off. In the Service building, mechanical and electrical drove onward. Exhaust fans and duct install moved forward as electrical drives toward wall rough-in inspection. The carwash received ceiling grid and prime paint this week.

Sales Update

CSW, Inc continued EIFS on the exterior of the building and began troweling DEFS on the underside of the covered canopy.

EIFS vs. DEFS: What’s the difference?

Exterior Insulated Finishing System (EIFS) and Direct Applied Exterior Finishing System (DEFS) are both exterior wall multi-coating systems that have a synthetic stucco finish. The difference is that DEFS is applied directly to sheathing and does not require insulation.

Curtainwall frame was delivered and installation began this week while DEFS application continued above. Next up, Clayton will install glazing in the frame to dry-in the building.

Recessed lighting fixtures have been roughed in at the showroom offices.

Grey Interiors has installed control joint trims and cut in squares for the canopy lighting fixtures.

Drywall finishing began last week and continues this week.

Nolan Painting began painting the exposed steel beams and columns at the showroom sales floor.

Air handler 1 and 2 have been installed in the mechanical room of the sales building and linesets have been run by A-1 Mechanical.

Service Building

Grey Interiors began and completed the carwash ceiling grid installation.

DPS progressed with wall rough-ins and scheduled their inspection.

Linesets and duct for mechanical equipment have been run in the service building. The exhaust fan in the equipment room has also been set.
