The BMW X7 has two extremely powerful engines: a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 in the M60i and a twin-power 3.0-liter inline six in the xDrive40i. The 4.4-liter twin-power turbo V8 engine in the M60i model will deliver 523 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. It combines an electric motor and an eight-speed automatic transmission to enhance responsiveness and efficiency. BMW also integrates a coasting function that kicks in when you choose the Eco Pro mode to improve fuel economy. Despite having a similar 4.4-liter bi-turbo V8 engine, the X7 Alpina produces 630 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. Consequently, the tuned engine launches impressively and clocks 60 mph in 4.0 seconds.
A new 3.0-liter inline-six engine is also available in the xDrive40i model, with 48 more horsepower and 52 more lb-ft of torque. As a result of its 375 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, models with this engine will accelerate effortlessly and reach 60 mph within 5.6 seconds. The mild hybrid assistance comprising a 48-volt battery increases torque to 398 pound-feet and enhances efficiency. Like in the V8, BMW pairs the 3.0-liter engine with a responsive eight-speed automatic with launch control and sprint function.
Interior and Comfort
